Note the grid options: safe, full, user.
A safe grid is one whose outer 5 values have been stripped off. This
is due to the values at these points being unreliable for analysis
because of model mechanics at domain boundaries. This applies to both
12km and 36km domains.
A full grid contains all values from the model output. Note, however,
that for cross-staggered fields, the northernmost row and easternmost
column values from the model grid are undefined. These values are
thus removed before the data is made available for download.
A user specified grid will return just the values for the row and
column ranges supplied.
The following points apply to data availability:
From Sept 1 2005 the models run to 72 hours. Before this date, the
models run to 48 hours.
Sea Surface Temperature is available only at the zero forecast hour.
Sea Level Pressure and all pressure dependent parameters are available
for all forecast hours.
All other parameters are available for all forecast hours except zero.
